Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired

Serves children from infancy to age 21. NCECBVI's program offers the expertise and specialized skills of the center's staff to blind, visually impaired, and multi-handicapped students in residential, day, and outreach settings. Services are provided to local school districts, students, families, teachers, and other support staff, upon request.

Nebraska Client Assistance Program (Hotline for Disabilities)

Nebraska Division of Developmental Disabilities

This site provides public transportation options for 71 counties, and numerous communities. In conjunction with the University of Nebraska (Lincoln, Kearney, and Omaha), Nebraska Transit also offers transit training courses for drivers.

The Nebraska Library Commission provides free books and magazines on a digital cartridge, through digital download, and in Braille or physical condition, or a reading disability which limits use of regular print. Special digital playback equipment is also provided free of charge.
